The App

Tech Team

A small GRO.TEAM Tech Team (Interim CTO, UX/UI, React Native Developer, Platform Developer, DevOps) was selected and on-boarded.

Rituals

The team self selected rituals of weekly sprints, daily standups, light sprint planning, weekly demos, and monthly sprint retrospectives.

App Tech

The team selected React Native as the App technology due to its cross platform and rapid iteration capabilities.

Platform

An Indian back end on demand platform provider was selected for cost and time-to-market reasons.

X Functional Team

A cross business agile team was formed including representatives from necessary and sufficient company departments (Finance, Legal, Security…) meeting every day during the stand up.

Soft Launch

The MVP iOS and Android apps were soft launched to “Friends and Family” for live testing in December as planned.

The App Outcomes

1.

The App MVP was launched on time and in budget.

2.

Pre COVID the service was proving popular and commercially viable.

3.

The product’s service coverage has been expanded and it has been rolled out to additional geographic locations.

4.

It was demonstrated that the The Business’s brand can be successfully leveraged in to new service areas and on to new platforms.
